eXp Realty still have not responded to the complaint nor has Melanie Shoemaker

Original review Dec 16, 2024
Melanie Shoemaker was the agent in the recent purchase of a new property. After monies were put down to secure the purchase, Melanie informed my wife and me that there was a problem because, according to the deed, the driveway was divided onto another property.

However, the seller would be willing to sell the additional land for $50,000. We declined and asked for the portion that was agreed upon to have access to the driveway. We hired a land surveyor, and the seller and Melanie showed them where to put the line. Months later, we found out that there was no GPS stating a line was shown and since 1984 the land had not been subdivided; therefore, according to records, it belonged to the home anyway.

She attempted to double dip and later called the Guilford County tax records office, trying to swindle the additional land away from us by dishonestly posing as the Seller's Agent and lying to the County on record.

From what I gathered, this is a practice that she does often because she is only out for capital gain. Then she will push all and any renovations on you by stating her husband, Todd Shoemaker, will do them.

I would request in advance notice to make an arrangement for sign language interpreter for deaf agent to attend any events sponsor by eXp such as eXp Convention and other events including workshops, etc. It bring your attention that there is no one responsible to taking care of needs with the disability.

I am to inform you that I am getting license by the state of California is on the way! It is very important to able to have fully accessable to meetings, etc.

Get things prepare ASAP to have sign language interpreter for meetings so on. Hearing from you soon.

Spoke to several managing brokers from exp and they said that she's an independent contractor so they cant help me. Contacted ethics board and they offered her mediation to resolve this issue and i have an attorney ready to go after her for the money plus attorney fees

Carolina decker listed and sold my home. She offered me $1200.00 to move out 2 days early so the buyers didn't have to pay for hotel rooms.

Also agreed to pay me $200.00 to leave my a/c unit for buyers. Promised to mail the $1400.00 to my forwarding address. Waited 2 weeks and she told me she didn't have to pay me because I didn't finish cleaning the house. I moved out 2 days early which didn't give me much time.

Im a disabled veteran and the money is needed to complete a ramp at my new home. Im also a Christian and I want to forgive her for disrespecting me, but i hired her so she had a fiduciary duty to look out for my best interest. She herself broke that obligation. Dougeichorn1@***.com 425 269 ****.

Ps she also tried on a pair of ladies shoes with bare feet at a home she was showing me to purchase.

Disgusting betrayal of the homeowners trust by a licensed az peoria agent. Please help

How do you get in touch with corporate compliance with this shell company? Agent took a check, then said he never recieved it (it was cashed) and issued me an overpayment check (Florida).

The check instabe question was sent to Atlanta, GA, not Florida. Don't know if the check will bounce.be

eXp Realty - Biased customer service
Updated by user May 12, 2021

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Have A Wonderful day.

Original review Feb 28, 2021

My EXP realty Marsee Wilhems team in Tuscon sold me a house I found online in 2018 with no realtor. I paid 8 1/2% on the purchase price as the Buyer.

In FEBRUARY 2021 They represented a investment buyer who wanted to buy my house at a ridiculous low offer and have me pay for a 500$ Premium Home warranty plan. Also wanted me to pay the buyers brokerage fees. The plan he wanted covered washer dryer and refrigerator but there was no hookups for washer dryer in my unit it had a on site laundry room. As the buyer in 2018 they never told me about a home warranty plan and now they insisted in the contract I leave my refrigerator but planned on getting a side by side with ice maker with the plan I paid for.

I I rejected their offer and walked. They are crooks and owe me money.
